The challenge
DJ Knight Music provides professional DJs, musicians and live entertainment for weddings, private parties, corporate events and celebrations in the UK and worldwide.
The previous WordPress website had accumulated a large number of plugins, making it slower, harder to maintain and increasingly difficult to develop. It also lacked the depth of content needed to explain the full range of entertainment services or compete for valuable searches.
Although the business offered DJs, musicians and event production, much of this was not represented through dedicated pages. Search visibility was limited and the website was not generating enough enquiries.
Moving from WordPress to Webflow
We redesigned the website and rebuilt it in Webflow, replacing the ageing plugin-heavy setup with a cleaner, more controlled platform. This improved the underlying structure, reduced unnecessary code and created a faster experience across desktop and mobile.
Webflow also gave the DJ Knight Music team an easier way to manage its DJs, event showcases and blog content. The new build created a foundation that could support the company’s long-term marketing plans rather than simply repairing the limitations of the old website.
Designing for the DJ Knight brand
The design needed to communicate the energy and professionalism of the brand. A full-viewport 100vh hero, large event photography, video, bold typography and movement bring the work to life immediately.
Clear navigation helps visitors find entertainment for weddings, corporate events, Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, birthdays and private parties, while prominent enquiry buttons provide an obvious next step.
Building the website around SEO
SEO was considered from the beginning rather than added after launch. The structure was planned around the services and event types potential customers search for, with focused pages, clear headings, useful content, internal links, metadata and carefully planned URLs.
Dedicated pages now cover corporate and wedding DJ hire, Bar and Bat Mitzvah DJs, birthdays, Christmas parties, destination events, hotels and restaurants, DJ and musician combinations, live bands, sound, lighting and event production.
DJ profiles, showcases and content
Individual DJ profile pages introduce each performer’s style and experience through photography, video and example events. Event showcase pages demonstrate real weddings, parties and corporate celebrations while supporting relevant service pages through internal links.
A new blog provides a home for event-planning advice, music content and answers to common booking questions. This creates an ongoing source of useful search-led content and guides readers towards the most relevant service.
Improving the enquiry journey
Clear calls to action appear throughout the site. A detailed enquiry form collects the entertainment required, event type, date and time, venue, budget, guest numbers and contact details. Gathering this information early helps the team provide a more relevant recommendation with fewer follow-up questions.
The result
DJ Knight Music now has a faster, more professional website that represents the quality and variety of its entertainment services. Dedicated service pages, DJ profiles, event showcases and blog content give search engines more useful context while helping visitors find the right option for their event.
The Webflow platform is easier to manage and provides a scalable foundation for new services, performers, events and content. Since the redesign, the website has performed faster and generated more booking enquiries.
